Lauren Siry is an artist, curator, and consultant with roots in London and San Diego. With a Master's in Contemporary Art from Sotheby's Institute and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from SMFA Tufts Boston, she founded 1805 Gallery and has extensive experience in curating, consulting, and teaching within Museum institutions. Siry's artistic practice focuses on the human form, exploring the intricate connections between individuals. Her paintings reflect the complexities of human relationships and identity. Drawing inspiration from neuroscience, physics, and sociology, Siry's art highlights the interconnectedness of people and challenges the notion of isolated individuality. Her work invites viewers to ponder how our interactions shape our sense of self and the potential for greater harmony through recognizing our shared humanity.
